Providence Humboldt has announced that the McLean Foundation and Providence Redwood Memorial Foundation teamed up to gift $1 million, KRCR reports.
Hospital officials said the money will be used for the planning and renovation of patient care areas at Providence Redwood Memorial in Fortuna, as well as expanded cancer care at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka.
Officials say that the donation was part of the foundation’s Centennial Campaign, a five-year campaign to transform health care on the North Coast. Read more.
