Wayne State U. Receives $2.6M from American Heart Association

Black adults have a higher incidence of hypertension and a greater risk of hypertension-related cardiovascular disease compared to white adults, reports Wayne State University in announcing a $2.64 million grant from gthe American Heart Association to address the issue.

The American Heart Association announced $20 million in research awards nationwide to address these needs by supporting health equity in high blood pressure prevention known as the Health Equity Research Network on the Prevention of Hypertension. Read more.
