Senior Living Community to Close in Roswell, NM: Report

A large senior living facility in Roswell will close by the end of October, The Roswell Daily Record reports.

Avamere Health Services announced in early August that the owner of the business has decided to close the facility permanently. Local Avamere employees indicated that information could be provided only by the corporate office, which is in Wilsonville, OR.

Avamere Health Services, part of the Avamere Family of Companies, issued a news release dated Aug. 5 indicating a planned closure date of Oct. 31.

“Avamere oversees the management of the building and was notified by ownership of the closure,” the news release said.

The company also said that it was working to find new living arrangements for its residents, including at other Avamere facilities, and would help employees find new positions. Read more.
