Huntsville Hospital Opens $150M Surgical Tower

Huntsville Hospital recently opened its $150 million Orthopedic & Spine Tower but didn’t really tell anybody about it, Alabama.com reports.

It’s a commentary on the world today and, particularly, the healthcare industry besieged by the coronavirus pandemic that the largest construction project in the more than 100-year history of the hospital would be completed quietly and without celebration.

The new tower adjacent to the main Huntsville Hospital building began construction in 2018 and finished on time during the summer. It has seven floors – a high-rise building by Huntsville standards – and features 24 surgical orthopedic suites and 72 private rooms. Read more.
