Mount Nittany Health revealed plans for expansions and renovations at the medical center and outpatient locations as part of an ongoing $50 million facilities investment, StateCollege.com reports.
The planning process will begin this fall for construction of a new “bed tower” at the hospital. The addition will include private patient rooms, along with community, clinical and support service enhancements. Planning is expected to take place through early next year.
A medical center spokesperson said the number of beds in the new tower, and whether it would change the hospital’s total number of beds, will be determined during the planning process. The medical center is currently licensed for 260 beds. Read more.
