The Surgery Center is an outpatient department of the Great Falls Clinic Hospital and is a one-story surgery center that was built in 1999, the clinic said in a news release. Situated on a 1.63-acre site, the facility offers same-day surgeries in a variety of specialties, including general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, pain management, urology, and podiatry.
The original purpose of the facility was to host only outpatient surgeries requiring less than 24-hour recovery times. All other surgeries that require more than 24-hour recovery times were historically performed at the Great Falls Clinic Hospital.
New expansion plans will add 7,375 square feet to the existing facility to include five new observation beds to accommodate overnight surgical stays, an additional operating room, as well as resizing and expanding two of the existing operating rooms and central processing to accommodate different types of surgical cases.
