SAMHSA Awards $825M in Grants to Community Mental Health Centers

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) will invest $825 million in funding to 231 Community Mental Health Centers across the country, Healthcare Finance reports.

The funding, which comes from the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplement Act of 2021, is meant to expand access to mental health and behavioral support, which has been a particular concern for Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more.
