City of Hope Orange County is building a 190,000 square-foot, LEED-certified cancer center in Irvine, CA, Spectrum News 1 reports.
The Lennar Foundation Cancer Center is designed to help many cancer patients in Orange County who currently need to leave the community for advanced care and research.
City of Hope Orange County announced earlier this year that it received a $50 million gift from the Lennar Foundation to support development of the $1 billion project.
City of Hope held focus groups with multicultural community groups and patient advocates to get as much input as possible. The center is scheduled to open in late summer 2022. Read more.
