Yale New Haven Health System Buys Former Macy’s Spot in Connecticut Shopping Mall

The Yale New Haven Health System has purchased the space of a former anchor store in the Meriden Mall, according to officials of the Minnesota-based company that brokered the deal, The Register Citizen reports.

Terms of the deal were not released, but officials with MedCraft Healthcare Real Estate said YNHHS will use the 179,285-square-foot, two-story former Macy’s spot as “a retail health facility.”

MedCraft officials described the purchase of the former department store as a new site to expand its ambulatory care services in a key market. Read more.
