The city issued permits Oct. 26 for Walgreens to add two Village Medical full-service primary care clinics to its pharmacies in West Jacksonville as it plans to add at least five in the area, The Jacksonville Daily Record reports.
Horizon Retail Construction of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, is the contractor for the two projects at $625,000 each.
The city also is reviewing applications for 3 more proposed $625,000 build-outs for clinics.
The five Jacksonville clinics are part of Walgreens’ effort to open 600 or more Village Medical centers by 2025 and 400 more by 2027. Read more.
