Centura Health has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire ownership interest in Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, Colo. and Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kan. from LifePoint Health. At the close of the transaction, both facilities will become part of Centura Health, which includes 15 hospitals in Colorado and two in Kansas. CPMC is a 50-bed acute-care hospital, fully accredited by The Joint Commission. With a Level III Trauma Center, 24-hour Emergency Room and many other services, the hospital chiefly serves a two-county area of 35,000. Western Plains Medical Complex is a Joint Commission accredited 99 bed hospital, providing Southwest Kansans with health services that include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, a Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
