It’s been a month since being Bravera Health Seven Rivers’ first bariatric surgery patient, reports the Citrus County Chronicle. The 128-bed hospital is expanding its surgical services and has added a $2 million robotic surgical system to make the procedure as minimally invasive as technology allows.
Bravera Health Seven Rivers uses laparoscopic surgery that involves a few small incisions and slender surgical tools for minimally invasive intrusion into the body. The hospital also has new robotic surgical equipment that’s more flexible in its movements than handheld devices. Read more.
