$10M Gift to Help Address Kaua‘i’s Physician Shortage

A major funding gift from the founder of social media giant Facebook and his wife will help address the physician shortage and improve access to health care on Kaua‘i, reports Kaua‘i Now.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s John A. Burns School of Medicine announced that Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, have committed $10 million throughout a six-year period to fund a new multi-pronged program called Kaua‘i Medical Training Track. Read more.
