New Owners Planning to Reopen Hospital in Patrick County, VA After 5 Years

It has been nearly 5 years since the closing of the pnly hospital in Patrick County, Virginia, reports BTW21.

Its then owner Pioneer Health Services, based in Mississippi, closed Pioneer Community Hospital in September 2017, over a year after filing for bankruptcy protection.

The facility had 25 beds for critical care and it now has a new owner.

Foresight HS Property Holdings – Blue Ridge, based in Chicago, purchased the hospital last week with the aim to reopen it, according to a spokesperson.

The spokesperson said “timelines will be announced at a later date.”
