Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has begun a $1 billion fundraising campaign for projects totaling $2.4 billion in new facilities and expansion, The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
Of the $1 billion being raised, $500 million is for the new hospital. The campaign is focused on expanded capacity, research and innovation, and training. Nearly $693 million has been raised so far.
Plans for the 19-story Arthur M. Blank Hospital include 446 beds, with 25% of those reserved for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. The facility is expected to open in 2025.
The campaign, “Never Settle: A Campaign for Kids,” is the largest fundraiser in the hospital’s history. Read more.
