Construction is underway on a new bed tower at Novant Health’s Matthews Medical Center in North Carolina, Hospital Management reports.
The four-story, 150,000 square-foot tower and 50,000 square-foot refurbishment project has a price tag of $169 million.
The project is expected to be completed in 2025 following which the hospital will feature 174 beds.
The new tower, situated on the south side of the hospital campus, will feature 20 new patient beds and surgical services that will include seven operating rooms, three endoscopy suites, a post-anesthesia care unit and an ambulatory care unit, as weell as three cardiac suites. Read more.
