Select Medical and ShorePoint Health Venice, a subsidiary of Community Health Systems, formed a joint venture partnership to operate a combined critical illness recovery (licensed as long-term care) and inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Venice, Florida. The new hospital will be located on the third and fourth floors of ShorePoint Health Venice and branded Select Specialty Hospital – Venice.
Select Medical will serve as the majority owner and managing partner.
Select Specialty Hospital – Venice will include 25 critical illness recovery beds, and 28 beds dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation. Renovation construction will begin this summer with an expected opening in Q1 2023. Read more.
