Tucson Medical Center is no longer interested in buying Santa Cruz Valley Regional Hospital in Green Valley.
“After sincere and extensive analysis, TMC Health has made the difficult decision that it will not move forward with the acquisition,” TMC said in an announcement, as reported by Green Valley News.
The hospital did not elaborate.
TMC had been talking to SCVRH for more than seven months about the possibility of buying the 49-bed hospital, and signed a non-binding letter of intent in April. TMC entered the due-diligence phase more than six weeks ago and in May said it expected the deal to go through in about 60 days. Read more.
