CVS Health CEO Karen Lynch outlined her plans for the company to touch the “entire spectrum of someone’s health journey,” the Boston Business Journal reports. From financing care with its health insurance company Aetna, to receiving care in a lower-cost setting at the MinuteClinic, to getting medications at the traditional pharmacy setting, Lynch told the crowd at Boston College Chief Executives Club at the Boston Harbor Hotel that CVS has already made strides in how it provides care. Lynch is interested in expanding into primary care, and said she expects an acquisition to be announced later this year. Woonsocket, Rhode Island-based CVS Health is also focused on interacting with patients digitally. For example, the pharmacy is piloting a new technology that allows people to tell the pharmacy when they plan to pick up their prescriptions. Read more.
