Two VC Firms Post Big Capital Raises

The 325-bed hospital, which has been operated by Dallas-based Steward Health Care since 2017, has provided healthcare to predominantly lower income residents in San Antonio and South Texas for nearly 40 years and has been struggling financially.

The finding comes from a July 6 report from Challenger, Gray & Christmas, a global outplacement and business and executive coaching firm that examines job cuts by U.S.-based employers.

The year’s major deals included an acquisition of CrossRoads Extremity Systems by Depuy Synthes, adding to the latter’s foot and ankle surgery portfolio.
