Nemours Children’s Health received a $2 million donation to help pay for the renovations for their Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorder. It was also the public launch of their “Hand in Hand” capital campaign to raise funds, ActionNewsJax reports in Florida.
The number of oncology patients seen at Nemours has doubled in the last 10 years. Last year the facility served more than 2,300 children. At any given time, there are over 200 children with cancer on active treatment protocols. Read more.
