Decatur, Texas-based Wise Health System’s board announced that it has agreed to enter into exclusive discussions to join Medical City Healthcare, a division of HCA Healthcare.
The board’s decision to enter these discussions with HCA Healthcare reflects its long-term commitment to preserve and expand options for compassionate, high-quality healthcare in the communities it serves. Created by the Decatur Hospital Authority, the Decatur Community Hospital, now known as Wise Health System, opened its doors in 1974 with 50 patient beds and two operating rooms.
