Two Chicago area health systems have solidified a deal to join forces and expand and improve care in the western suburbs.
The University of Chicago Medicine and AdventHealth announced that they officially formed a “joint venture” called UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, reports Modern Healthcare. They say the combination of their expertise and resources will allow them to bring academic medicine to more parts of the region. UChicago Medicine now has a controlling interest in AdventHealth’s four Illinois hospitals in Bolingbrook, Glendale Heights, Hinsdale and La Grange, along with nearly 50 physician offices and outpatient locations.
