Tower Health to Sell 17 Urgent Care Centers

West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health hopes to cement a deal to sell 17 of its urgent care centers in the coming months, per Becker’s.

The health system currently operates 25 urgent care facilities across Pennsylvania and one in Delaware, according to the report. If the transaction is completed, it will be down to nine urgent care facilities across Berks, Montgomery and Chester counties in Pennsylvania.

Tower Health did not disclose who the potential buyer is, but reportedly said that it would be a private urgent care operator, not a health system.

The move is another step in Tower Health’s plan to improve its financial standing.
