OhioHealth Outlines $400M OhioHealth Grant Medical Center Expansion Project

OhioHealth unveiled plans to expand OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in downtown Columbus with a significant investment.  The $400 million project will include:

  • A new trauma center, emergency department and critical care pavilion to build upon Grant’s core strengths.  This seven story building along Town Street will allow OhioHealth to expand trauma, critical care and intermediate care and modernize the emergency department to meet growing demand for these services. The new critical care pavilion will add 160 private beds and will include close and convenient access to underground parking for our ED patients.
  • A newly constructed ambulatory facility to provide convenient access to expanded primary care services on the corner of Grant Avenue and State Street. This building will include two floors of outpatient care and a five-story parking garage.  Grant Family Medicine, the Transitions of Care Clinic and the food pantry will be housed in this building.
  • Enhancements to the overall campus experience for patients, visitors, hospital associates and local residents.  This includes additional parking and enhancing greenspaces and hardscapes to promote walkability and a sense of community.
