Virtua Health Acquiring NJ Orthopedics Practice

Virtua Health plans to acquire Moorestown-based Reconstructive Orthopedics in a deal that will add 60 clinicians and 300 total employees to Virtua Medical Group.

The acquisition, which is expected to close in July, will bring eight locations to South Jersey’s largest health system. The target’s offices are situated in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland and Gloucester counties. The practices will operate as Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics, NJ Biz reports.

Virtua Medical Group is a network of medical and surgical physicians and other clinicians employed by or exclusively affiliated with Virtua who provide primary care, urgent care, specialty care and other services. The group employs more than 1,000 clinicians.

Reconstructive Orthopedics was founded in 1977 and ranks among the largest New Jersey-based orthopedic practices, having performed more than 100,000 surgical procedures.
