New UMHS Building in North Miami to Hire 450

The University of Miami Health System is at work on a 363,000-square-foot facility in North Miami that would offer an extensive list of medical specialties and is to hire over 450 new staff, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support.

UHealth, which is powered by the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine at UM, broke ground last September on the new medical center, to be open in 2025, at the SoLé Mia development in North Miami built by a joint venture between real estate developer LeFrak and design, development, and real estate management company Turnberry, Miami Today News reports.

The new UHealth facility is to be a seven-story building, sitting on nearly 10 acres with an open green space, a reflection garden and views of the ocean and lagoons for those receiving extended services,” according to the UHealth website. Read more.
