Physicians Group Spearheading $500M Houston-Area Medical Campus

A once-stymied health care office project is going forward after all. A group of Houston-area physicians are finally planning to break ground on the Cypress Health and Wellness Campus on 30 acres of vacant land next to the Second Baptist Church Cypress Campus. During the pandemic, the developers paused performing any work on the project for two years. They are hoping it will be worth the wait, Connectcre reports.

The doctor-led development group, North Cypress Land Ventures, hopes to not only build its first medical office building but a wellness center for phase II and a third phase which could include a women’s or cancer center. The hope is to complete all phases, which could include four or five buildings, in about five years.

The doctor/development group estimates the entire project will cost between $500 million and $600 million. The entity includes more than 30 physicians.

Groundbreaking for the first building, a 70,000-square-foot multi-specialty medical office building, is slated for this fall. It’s already 90% leased. Read more.
