Providence Swedish will acquire Olympia Obstetrics and Gynecology, which will operate under the name Providence Swedish Obstetrics and Gynecology Olympia.
Olympia Obstetrics & Gynecology formed with the closure of Memorial Clinic in 2001. Laurie Sorenson, the remaining founding partner, has provided care in the community for more than 25 years. At any given time, the clinicians at the former Olympia Obstetrics and Gynecology practice care for 700 pregnant patients who are seen for multiple visits over an eight-month time frame, according to a press release announcing the merger.
