MU Health Care Signs LOI to Merge with Capital Region Medical Center

University of Missouri Health Care and long-time Jefferson City affiliate Capital Region Medical Center announced they have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to fully integrate their health systems. The move is the next step in a partnership that began more than 25 years ago.

“We value community health care and the last quarter-century has taught us that our two hospitals are stronger together,” said Nim Chinniah, University of Missouri’s vice chancellor for health affairs. “Combining the strength of a community hospital with the expertise of a premier academic health system has delivered a higher level of care to mid-Missouri and we are eager to build on that success.” Read more.
