Radiologist Developing $250M Medical Campus in Iowa

A radiologist is developing a $250 million regional medical campus in Iowa that includes a spot for his imaging group, according to Radiology Business.

John Tentinger, MD, said he has been working on the deal for about a decade, purchasing the 25-acre piece of land for $5.5 million through his company, K&J Properties, in 2021. Dubbed the “Total Health Experience” and located in Urbandale, Iowa, north of two interstate highways, the campus will be geared toward preventive and diagnostic services.

“If I could describe my vision in one sentence, it would be this: The Total Health Experience is an innovative way to deliver cutting-edge healthcare utilizing the latest technologies and AI with a compassionate, patient-centered experience and a focus on prevention and early diagnosis,” said Tentinger, who is president and owner of Innovative Radiology, which will provide imaging services to others on the campus.

The site will include up to six buildings with 300,000 square feet of space. Those operating on the property will offer primary and specialty care, along with preventive medicine, wellness and behavioral health. Tentinger highlighted continuing growth in the Des Moines area, with a population of 719,000, 20% of whom are 60 or older. Read more.
