U of Kansas Health Receives $100M Gift for Cancer Center

The University of Kansas Health System announced a $100 million gift and plans to build a new cancer center in Kansas City.

The Sunderland Foundation made the donation, the largest in the University of Kansas and KU Health System history, reports Fox 4.

The Sunderland donation comes in addition to $43 million that U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran secured in federal funding to help plan and build research aspects of the new facility.

The new building will consolidate KU Health System’s 12 cancer center locations throughout the Kansas City region into one facility with all clinics and research under one roof. Read more.
