Geisinger to Invest $900M in Pennsylvania Hospital Expansion

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger announced $900 million in capital commitments to nearly double the size of its Wilkes Barre, Pa.-based Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Included in the plan is the construction of an 11-story tower that will make the hospital an all-private room facility. The tower is expected to open in 2028, and additional renovations will continue through 2030.

With this latest project, Geisinger has invested $1.4 billion into Luzerne County since 2008, Becker’s reports. Read more.
