Stony Brook Medicine has opened a multispecialty care facility in a 170,000-square-foot space at Smith Haven Mall in Long Island, NY.
The Advanced Specialty Care at Lake Grove is Stony Brook’s largest outpatient facility, and currently occupies 60,000 square feet of its designated space. The full expansion to 170,000 square feet should be completed by 2027, Long Island Business News reports.
The center aims to meet patients’ needs in one location. Current services include pediatrics, internal medicine, family population and preventive medicine and neurology. It also offers a pain-management center and hospital-based services, including genetic counseling, diabetes education and neuropsychology. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program is available on-site. Additional services will be offered when the next phases of the project are completed. Read more.
