Atrium Health is about to kick off another construction project, this time at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
Construction is set to begin today on a 24-bed pediatric intensive care unit that will add to the hospital’s current 20-bed PICU floor. Dr. Dwight Bailey, Levine’s medical director of pediatric critical care medicine, said that as Charlotte and the surrounding region continues to grow, so does the need for additional pediatric services at the hospital, WSOC reports.
