CooperCompanies Cancels Acquisition of Cook Medical Reproductive Health Business

The sale of Cook Medical’s reproductive health division to CooperCompanies has been terminated.

The California-based medical device company backed out of its $875 million acquisition, according to the Federal Trade Commission, Indiana {ublic Media reports.

“The only thing I can share is that I can confirm that it was the deal was terminated,” said Cook Medical Public Relations Manager Marsha Lovejoy.

The sale was announced in February 2022. The FTC released a statement supporting the cancellation, saying it “ensures that critical reproductive health markets remain competitive.” Read more.
