Even with some high-profile hospital deals taking place in the first half of the year, merger activity across the broader healthcare industry has slowed a bit.
KPMG is projecting that healthcare mergers and acquisition activity may be a bit more subdued for the remainder of the year. In the first half of 2023, there were 245 healthcare mergers, a 7% drop from the first six months of 2022, according to a report from KPMG.
