Burrell Behavioral Health began work on a new youth crisis center to improve “unacceptable” delays in care for young people in Springfield, MO, and across the state, per Behavioral Health Business.
The new center will offer round-the-clock access to crisis-level support through various intensive outpatient programs, a partial hospitalization program and a long-term youth residential facility.
The organization said the first phase of the new center will be completed in approximately 18-24 months.
The build was made possible through a $5.3 million American Recovery Plan Act allocation from Greene County in Missouri, $1 million from the Missouri Department of Mental Health and $5 million from this year’s Missouri state budget.
