HCA Florida Hospital to Add Beds in $80M Expansion

Oviedo (FL) Medical Center, operated by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, is increasing its number of beds in an $80 million expansion project, per Becker’s.

The project will see the bed total increase to 102 from 64 with an extension to the fourth floor of the facility, the report said. In the first phase of the project, operating rooms will expand to nine from five and there will be a new post-anesthesia care unit.

Oviedo Medical Center first opened as an emergency facility in 2013 before expanding into a full-service hospital four years later.

HCA operates more than 50 hospitals in Florida.
