Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson announced an investment of more than $6 million into NYC Health + Hospitals.
She said the funding will have a significant impact on the Bronx as it will provide upgraded equipment to medical sites including Jacobi and Lincoln Hospital, Gotham Health Belvis, Morrisania and North Central Bronx Hospital, News 12 reports.
“We are adding hospital beds to Lincoln Hospital. We are replacing mammography machines and MRI machines and making upgrades to the asthma unit and the vision unit,” said Gibson. “All of these things matter when it comes to comprehensive health care and what residents of the Bronx rightfully deserve.” Read more.
