Orange County, CA-based UCI Health has acquired radiation oncology centers in Orange County that were previously owned by GenesisCare, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, per Becker’s.
As part of the acquisition, the health system will rename the Fountain Valley oncology location to UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center-Fountain Valley, according to an Oct. 24 news release from UCI Health. The other center is in Anaheim.
The health system did not disclose the amount paid for the centers, but said it has notified existing patients at the GenesisCare centers of the transition.
