Harris Health in Texas is looking to transform health care access for residents of Harris County in the near future, thanks to a robust strategic facilities plan.
Harris County voters will decide Nov. 7 on a $2.5 billion bond proposal that would fund a large portion of Harris Health’s $2.9 billion strategic facilities plan, the Houston Business Journal reports.
From building a new Level I trauma hospital on the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital campus to renovating the existing hospital to better serve the needs of the community, building inpatient capacity at Ben Taub Hospital, and building three new clinics and renovating existing clinics, the facilities plan touches all aspects of inpatient and outpatient care for the system.
