AdventHealth’s Lakeland Regional Health was ranked the second-busiest emergency room in the country, and they’re expanding to keep up with demand, reports Fox 13.
The hospital is investing $7.5 million to expand the emergency department.
Currently, the facility sees about 4,000 patients a month or 140 patients a day.
The addition includes 10 new emergency rooms, bringing the total to 37 ER beds, which means now up to 200 patients can be treated per day. Read more.
