Loma Linda University Medical Center in California moved patients to its new $1.5 billion medical campus Aug. 8, reports the Redlands Daily Facts. The structure will be the new, 16-story, home of Loma Linda’s adult hospital and also features a nine-story expansion of its children’s hospital.
It is the second-tallest building in San Bernardino County, the second-tallest hospital in the state, the heaviest per-square-foot building in North America, and is built with a nature theme running from its roots to its highest branches. Read more.
