Heights Hospital in Houston to Reopen Under New Ownership

A new management group has acquired The Heights Hospital in Houston, TX, and pledges to provide surgical, elective and acute medical care in the heart of the neighborhood, where previous efforts to revive the iconic hospital have been unsuccessful, The Leader reports.

The transition to new ownership began taking shape more than a year ago.

Rashid Syed is the CEO of the new hospital management group that considered becoming a partner in The Heights Hospital during the latter stages of 2020, he said, but backed off in December of that year because he said the operation’s financial struggles appeared to be too significant to overcome.
