Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, a 140-hospital system, disclosed in an earnings report (p. 36) that it plans to acquire a hospital in western Kansas and another in northern Colorado for $135 million. Centura Health will manage both facilities under its joint operating agreement with CommonSpirit. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the fiscal year. Read more.
