Penn Medicine Venture Fund Makes 2 Investments

The Penn Medicine-Wharton Fund for Health, Penn’s venture fund focused on social determinants of health, invested in its fifth and sixth companies, MedCity News reports. The fund invested in two Philadelphia-based startups, Fabric Health and Stimulus, bringing its total amount of invested capital to $1.35 million.

Fabric Health partners with health plans to increase healthcare access for low-income communities. The startup is based in Philadelphia but also operates in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.

Philadelphia-based Stimulus sells software to physician practices to help them make their purchasing process more transparent and efficient. Read more.
