Maine’s Heywood Hospital Breaks Ground on New Surgical Pavilion

Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Maine, broke ground on a new surgical pavilion covering 22,000 square-feet. The facility will include six operating rooms, two minor procedure rooms, and a post-anesthesia care unit, the Gardner News reports. The new surgical pavilion is slated to open in 2024.

Win Brown, president and CEO of Heywood Healthcare, said the new pavilion would provide expanded advanced surgical technologies to the community, improve operating efficiencies, and help strengthen the financial performance and sustainability of the hospital. He also thanked people in the community who had donated financially to get the project off the ground. Read more.
