UnitedHealth Completes $13B Change Healthcare Buy

UnitedHealth Group completed its purchase of Change Healthcare, the company announced Monday morning, after defeating the Department of Justice in federal court over the agency’s attempt to block the $13 billion deal, reports Healthcare Dive.

It does not appear the DOJ will challenge the deal in appellate court. Letting the deal go through without an appeal is viewed as a major setback for the DOJ, antitrust legal experts told Healthcare Dive.
