Roper St. Francis Healthcare has broken ground on a $50 million outpatient center, adding a medical component to a new mixed-use community that will include office, retail and multifamily living spaces, The Post and Courier reports.
Roper officials said in a statement that the 40,000-square-foot, two-story health care center is expected to open near the end of 2025 and offer a variety of outpatient services that complement the system’s nearby Express Care and its 50-bed Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital in Carnes Crossroads.
They’re expected to include diagnostic radiology, urgent care and emergency medical care on the first floor and complementary primary care services like cardiology, orthopedics, women’s services and multidisciplinary specialists. Read more.
